What’s a common misconception people have about happiness?
I’m not sure what other people believe, but for me, happiness is a gentle but steady feeling of warmth and contentment deep within. I feel it right now as I ponder what happiness actually is.
We feel happy when we’re with certain people, or when certain positive happenings occur in our lives. That doesn’t mean everyone feels happy about those same things. It’s a personal decision to be happy. It’s a personal decision to be sad or mad. I’m not sure it’s a personal decision to be confused, so there you are.
Happiness is something that dwells within each of us. But it is our decision that triggers whatever response we have to a situation.
