If you could rewrite any book’s ending, which one would you choose?
Searching through memory, there are books that have pleasant endings after chaotic chapters, some endings are not satisfying, some are just flat. But to change the way an author writes just doesn’t seem right. So I wouldn’t. It’s like telling a parent their child is ugly. No child is ugly. That ending was birthed in someone’s mind. I am not obliged to love it, but it was never mine to create.
Personally I like open endings that make me think something is going to happen. The book may be ending but the story continues.
